In the global panorama, it is necessary on multiple occasions to study areas of special interest for defence purposes, whether as a conflict prevention mechanism, border control measures, humanitarian aid services and evacuation plans, or other uses that might serve as a tool for military intelligence (GEO-INT).

COTESA has been involved on numerous occasions in the creation of maps, both new editions as well as updates for the MGCP (Multinational Geospatial Co-production Program) programme in accordance with TRD standards of more than 200 cells measuring 1ºx1º spread over different orographic contexts worldwide
